George Kittle at the culinary stage at BottleRock 2022 in Napa on May 27, 2022.
We’re used to observing Kittle on TV or in massive stadiums, but when you see the San Francisco 49ers tight end in a smaller setting,
like BottleRock 2022’s Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage, his unending charisma and energy really shines through.
Coming out to Guns N’ Roses “Paradise City” with all the intensity of a game day Sunday, Kittle flexed his rockstar status from the get-go.
Ostensibly, he was at the Napa music and food festival on Friday, May 27th to make crab corn cheese nachos with sourdough crostinis alongside celebrity chef Aaron May.
But once onstage, Kittle went a little off book. He led the crowd in multiple “NIN-ERS” chants, chugged red wine,
Shouted out the Golden State Warriors recent Western Conference title and made a not-so-veiled comment on his and wife Claire’s intimate life.
“She usually just jumps me,” said Kittle of his and Claire’s nighttime routine. “We’ve been married for three years so I’m allowed to say that.”
Still feeling parched, Kittle and May washed down their nachos with a bizarre cocktail of red wine, coca-cola, lime juice and nitrous oxide. The drink was literally smoking as Kittle downed it.
The Pro Bowler closed out his presentation by donning a 49ers-theme wrestling belt and launching about 20 full sourdough loaves into the crowd.
Kittle’s weekend continued on Saturday when he joined E-40 on stage for the Vallejo rap legend’s verse in “I Don't F— With You.”
In all, Kittle couldn’t have had a more classically Bay Area experience at BottleRock if he tried: sourdough, check. Napa Valley wine, check. Dungeness crab, check. Warriors, check. E-40, check.
