PM WANI Yojana

The Government of India has announced the launch of PM WANI Yojana, (Wi-Fi Access Network Interface) which aims to provide free and easy internet connectivity to all. The scheme will be set up as a service that connects the whole of India with internet services. Explaining how the PM Wani Wi Fi Yojana will work, Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that there will be Public Data Offices (PDOs) on a deployment basis. These PDOs can be any local shop, service provider or small scale public service department. These PDOs can take Internet connectivity services operated by any Internet Service Provider (ISP), and network connectivity hotspots. can install. According to Prasad, any interested party can set up as a PDO, and there will be no licence, no registration and no fees associated with working as a PDO. In the second layer, there will be Public Data Aggregators (PDAs), which will also not have to pay any operational charges. These PDAs will oversee aspects like accounting, authorization and other functional parts of the PDO.

Implementation of PM Free Wi Fi Voice Yojana

For the successful implementation of this Wi-Fi access network interface, public data centres will be opened across the country. The applicant will not have to pay any license fee or registration fee to open these public data centres. The Prime Minister says that the free Wi-Fi voice plan will prove to be a historic plan. The Union Cabinet has approved this scheme on 9th December 2020. Small shopkeepers will also get WiFi service through this scheme so that their income can increase. This plan ensures continuous internet connectivity.

Wi-Fi Access Network Interface (PM WANI Registration)
