Ayushman CAPF health insurance scheme launched

Ayushman Bharat: Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman CAPF Health Insurance Scheme has been started by the Government of India on 23 January 2021. Under this scheme, health insurance will be provided to the personnel of all the powerful police forces of the country. This scheme has been started on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Ayushman CAPF Health Insurance Scheme has been announced by the Home Minister of our country, Shri Amit Shah. He has distributed Ayushman CAPF Health Cards to some personnel of 7 Centrally empowered Police Forces on the occasion. About 28 lakh personnel of CAPF, Assam Rifles and the National Security Guard will be benefited through the Ayushman CAPF scheme.

The families of 28 lakh workers have also been covered in this scheme. All these people can get their treatment free of cost in 24000 hospitals of India.
About 50 lakh people will benefit from Ayushman CAPF health insurance scheme. On this occasion, the Home Minister appreciated the contribution of police personnel due to corona virus infection. He also congratulated the police personnel on achieving victory against coronavirus.

Under this scheme, 229 government and 35 private hospitals are registered in Jammu and Kashmir.
